I pass this fence post on my way to town, and this rolled barbed wire has been on this post since we moved here in 2010. I always wonder why farmers keep rolled up barbed wire on fence posts.
Amazing the things that inspire some photos. Just joined your blog so I hope to seee what other things you will find down your lanes. I hope there are wildflowers as they can be so pretty. Margaret
Makes an interesting picture, I think. I'm not sure why farmers leave there but I have see that here too. Only I wasn't smart enough to take a photo of it. :))
I wonder if they hung it there so they would remember to pick it up when they were finished replacing it? If so, I guess it didn't work! :)

ReplyDeleteBarbed wire is so pretty! So happy that you stopped to take a pic. Most people would drive by and not notice it.
ReplyDeleteFor us, it's as good a place as any to put barbwire found on the ground (so you don't run over it with the tractor!)
ReplyDeleteI think it's because it's so prickly to carry around..LOL I have found barbed wire on our fence posts that my grandpa left hanging over 40 years ago.
ReplyDeleteI think I should join up here. I love your country photos. There is not much country left here in this part of Colorado. Love the barbed wire--photo.
ReplyDeleteThey leave it for us to photograph. :)
