bethel chapel

I've posted about this church on my main blog before.  This church is getting more and more in disrepair.  This shot was taken in the fall and since this shot the church steeple has fallen even more over.

  1. So sad to know this quaint old church isn't being saved. In it's prime it must have been a lovely little church. Love those windows.
    Lovely shot!

  3. Fantastic capture of this beautiful old church. It's always sad to see them in such a state but lovely in a way at the same time. I'm a new GFC follower over from Weekly Top Shot.

  4. I love photographs of old weathered buildings. They make great photo subjects. You're captured this old church nicely!

  6. Love this shot, the colours and the way everything is leaning inwards, it's a shame no one is restoring it for historical purposes.

  8. What a gem.. I wish it could be salvaged.
We were exploring the prairies of Northwest North Dakota a couple of summers ago while my husband did work out there, and came across some abandoned country churches. I fell in love with them. So quickly when they stop being used, they go downhill. The one was already being taken over by raccoons. It was a beauty. We hated to see it going to waste.
Like you - I figured I could at least preserve it in photos.. that was the most I was able.
