{good fences}

This past winter, tho in some places it just might seem winter is still hanging around.  Any way this past winter there have been a lot of eagles hanging around the Ocooch Mountains here in Southwest Wisconsin.  My husband and I were heading home and this Bald Eagle was having dinner on some road kill that was along the side of the road.  It took off over the fence by the time we got close enough to take any kind of a great photo of it.

  3. I've only seen one eagle around here and he was perched in a sappling alongside the interstate. I would take any shot I could get! I like this action shot. Nice fence, too.

  7. Great rural shot, fence and eagle. One never knows what they'll see on a country road. One day we saw a crow and an eagle dining on roadkill. I didn't have my camera and the car scared them both off but it was quite a sight to see! Pamela

  11. Fantastic capture! How lovely! Thanks so much for visiting my blog! So, you lived in Phoenix once! This is our second time in Tucson (first with the Air Force in the early 80s) and though we had wanted to retire to Va. foothills, we are here because of our kids, and we are enjoying it. Hope you will come by and visit again!
